On Tuesday, November 11, MySpace launched MySpace Profile 2.0, a new profile version.
Here are the steps to upgrade to 2.0:
(If you still prefer to use 1.0 version, you can always go back. )
P.S. No, MySpace are not forcing people to switch to this profile, and don’t intend to. I know some people are happy with MySpace just the way it is.
- Login to your MySpace account.
- Click Customize Profile link in Profile tab on the top.
- Click Upgrade to Profile 2.0 button.
Our normal MySpace Layouts are for 1.0, to pimp your 2.0 profile, visit our MySpace 2.0 Layouts section.

I have a music page. I don’t see the upgrade button there. Is it not an option on music pages?
It helps but not all the way see, because i upgraded it to a 2.0 on another computer so does that mean that it is already upgradded because when i click on customize profile it take s me to the 2.0 tutorial. Also do i put ur web layout code in the CSS box or just put it in the About me Box. IM CONFUSED!!! PLZ HELP ME…. THANKS

Hello . I’m having a problem with the layout . I want to put the layout of Louis Vuttion . I did it twice and it kept saying Congation but I don’t see it I want to change the whole things the front profile and my background . I Hate the two different color Layouts I prefer one only like 2 in 1 colors … everytime I go to myspace it make my stomach hurt BECAUSE I HATE THE LAYOUT that I have right now sooo ppppllleeeease do 4 me thanks

I have the same problem. On an artist profile, clicking “Customize Profile” will always bring me to the “Edit profile” page, and that’s not what I want.
So I can’t switch to 2.0.
I’ve sent several messages to the support team, but the only answer I got was to click the “Customize Button” ¬¬’
However, I tried the same on a “regular” profile… and it worked at the first try
Why does myspace restrict artits to have a 1.0 nasty profile?
Why isn’t this documented anywhere? Why clicking one link provokes a different thing?
I am not given an option to upgrade to 2.0 when I click on ‘customise profile’…?? Is this only available to U.S residents only??

Despite of its huge popularity among music fans and bands, and despite of its great concept and features, Myspace is still a crappy service. I cannot change to layout 2.0 on my band’s profile, and cannot find any tools to improve the 1.0 profile. About two years ago I had some difficulties with my account/login (I don’t remember exactly what was the trouble, but it took me huge amount of time to remove the problem, by switching to US or UK version). It seems that only experienced users or programmists can improve their Myspace, whereas not-so-advanced users are just not provided with plain, easy to use tools.
